AI Audio Quality & Linguistics Intern
Direct AI text-to-speech to nail medical and safety pronunciation, pacing, and inflection.
The mission
Frontline healthcare and food-safety workers often learn via audio on the move. AI text-to-speech is advanced, but it trips up on complex medical terminology, pathogen names, and critical inflections. You will be the "voice director," ensuring our hands-free audio products sound completely flawless and accurate.
What you'll do

The ultimate ear
Listen meticulously to AI-generated audio to detect micro-glitches, pronunciation errors, and unnatural pacing.

Fine-tune transcripts
Polish and align scripts with voice-synthesis engines so what is heard is 100% legally and medically compliant.

Benchmark the bots
Design and run rigorous evaluation criteria to stress-test output quality across cutting-edge LLMs and voice models.
04
Fine-tune neural synthesis
Apply advanced speech tagging (SSML) and AI voice direction to ensure perfect inflection on critical safety warnings.
What you bring
- Preference for candidates with a Master's degree in a relevant field; high academic marks prized.
- An academic background or fascination with Linguistics, Phonetics, Audio Engineering, or Acoustics.
- Insane attention to detail — you notice verbal anomalies others tune out.
- Aptitude for navigating technical interfaces and LLM dashboards to investigate model performance.
- Interest in AI audio platforms (Google TTS, ElevenLabs, Play.ht) and linguistic validation tools.
- Awareness of state-of-the-art voice cloning and real-time synthesis models (e.g. ElevenLabs, RVC).
